What a free build is
A real Android app. Signed, because Android will not install anything else. No watermark, no splash advertising us, no expiry. Your HTML is bundled inside it and works in airplane mode. Yours to install on your own phones, hand to a client, share with a class or distribute from a download link. The limits are a cooldown between builds, 5 MB of bundled content and APK-only output — the format for direct installation, which Google Play does not accept for new apps.
What Pro is for
- Google Play. Play requires an App Bundle (AAB) for new apps, and updating a published app requires signing every release with the same key. Both are Pro. The Play checklist →
- Feeling native. A designed splash screen, onboarding slides and a bottom tab bar are what stop a bundled page looking like a browser with the toolbar removed.
- Reaching people. Push notifications arrive when the app is closed — and for a URL app they are the clearest answer to Play's minimum functionality rule.
- Bigger bundles. 18 MB of HTML, CSS, JS, images and fonts instead of 5 MB — room for a game's sprites or a photo catalogue.
What is always free
Every tool on this site, with no account and no limits — they run in your browser and cost nothing to serve. Every guide. And the builder itself, for as long as an APK is what you need.
Cancelling
In Google Play, not here: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → HTML & ZIP to APK Builder → Cancel. You keep Pro until the period you paid for ends. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
